well currently im living here in good old california. im about to enter a program that gives vocational training. i am going for desktop publishing/graphic design. i might complete the training in about a year. my concern is once i graduate i would like to move out of california. specifically to Arkansas. my question is with my degree in hand will it be hard for me to find a job in the field of design and graphics in a state like Arkansas? i know California is strong in the art industry but i want to move over there for personal reasons. so am in a pickle here or not?

very hard. unless its in a major city which they have few. ive been there and they has one plumber for a whole city. they also are old school so anything technological or state of the art would be rare

If you gain employment in California perhaps they would be willing to either a) let you work remotely if you meet certain requirements or b) give you a strong lead for a job and a good reference. So, no you’re not necessarily in a pickle. You have options.

PS – many people will tell you no. Where there’s a will there’s a way – anything is possible if you have a plan and execute it. Good luck!

Do some home work…..Hit the web for Graphic business in Arkansas….Hit there phone book in-for….also Printing and graphic business listed…..List the city you are wanting to move to….for any graphic business there or close by…..
I take it…someones involved for the reason of moving…..talk to the ones you know here and ask them to help you do the research you need for this………

There are hundreds of New Business in Little Rock….around the Chanel area …….check out the areas mapping around Hwy. 10…..
Check Pleasant Valley area…..Check Chanel Area……Check Ferndale area……Check Pinnacle Mountain Area……Check Bowman Curve Area…….

You can contact a phone company for those areas and purchase the new phone books for these areas…….and they will list all the business you are interested in…..
It will take some work in the research….but, It will be worth it
