FraShaun was born in Jackson, Mississippi but raised in McComb, Mississippi where his stage name, Yung McComb, was created. Unlike others, McComb is proud of where he is from and believes that its his responsibility to give recognition to his hometown. He grew up around two important things in his life, music and sports. His supportive family consists of talented individuals such as his grandmother who plays the piano, his uncle who sings gospel and his cousins who are involved in the R&B game.
