get it free off of vistaprint.com, thats what I did. They are really good

for 7.95 you can use their template and get 500 for 8.00

You don’t want that, but for only 20.00 you can get 2,000 business cards which you design using their program. You upload the picture and design and text yourself

I think Microsoft Publisher does cards. You may already have that on your machine…

Try Corel Draw program. It’s used for designing everything you need. I design t-shirts with it.

Your best bet is photoshop CS2. It is a very flexible designing tool and very powerful. It comes with a lot of choices and ready to use tools…

Try it.. and you will never stop to be amused…I use it in my design and graphic works…

Adobe photoshop is the best choice. The newest version is CS2, but you can use just about any version for great results. Adobe photoshop and Adobe illustrator are the industry standards for graphic design. Photoshop is a little easier for most people to use.

make sure that the size you enter in Photoshop is
    2.125in x 3.625in

The standard size is 2inx3.5in – you always add .125in for bleeding/cutting.

the resolution needs to be 300dpi

make sure you’re in CMYK mode

when you write text on the card make sure it is 1/4″ away from the edge all the way around the card.

If you need to have someone print the card:

Mediaink printing in houston : They’ll ship it to you where ever you need. They won’t even put they’re name on it, not even on the box, so your customers will think that you sent it to them directly. They’ve got some really great prices on printing. They can design it if you want them to also. The paper is 12pt (thick paper). You will get full color front and back included in the price. They do all types of commercial printing. Talk to Bobby Thomas. He’s the owner.

Don’t quote me but I think you can get 5000 business cards for less than $200. Flyers, brochures, business cards, posters, booklets, menus, just about any you need printed.
You can order 1k+ in increments of 1000.

I don’t get any kickbacks or referal fees. I’ve personally used them on several different occasions, including for my wedding invitations. I designed it and he printed them out. Very reliable group of people. Bobby is a very nice, down-to-earth guy. He’ll do everything he can to help you.
