Graphic Design Portfolio?

Hello people…so i am currently employed @ a design & marketing firm creating ads for local businesses… i was hired here while I was in school…. (so i didn’t really need an intern or portfolio in the process)…i just recently applied at a new job and they are requesting for my book or portfolio.

I don’t have any school work in my portfolio, it has been nearly 2 years since my graduation.. if I bring some of the ads i created at my current job..will those be acceptable?

Yes, I think so. Try to show your versatility, as well as including works which relate to what you might be doing for your prospective employer.

As a profesional Editor myself, if i were to hire you, i would want to see what you are doing in the present and not while you were i school. Go for it. That is your portfolio.

yes definately. Those would be more current. However, if you have any that were pretty exceptional from school try to include that also. I am going to school for graphic design and had a phenomenal teacher. We had to present our works in a professional manner as if we were doing this for real.
