How do you set up a disccount card for multiple businesses?

I’m sure you’ve seen the 10% off an oil change or free appetizer type of cards. How can someone do that? What is the incentive for the business offering the discount? I already know where to find the custom discount cards. What is the behind the scenes negotiations? Does the business offering the discount get any money or is it just advertising on the card and it’s promotion? Any help on this would be much appreciated.

It is a fairly common practice for some businesses to offer a 10% courtesy discount to good customers, or as an incentive for repeat business. The advantage is that by offering the discount, you are giving your good customer a gift – and they in turn will appreciate your gesture and return. It is a good business practice and a guaranteed way to get return customers. One thing a business must be careful of these days: the consumer has been well trained to buy discount and often expect it – you can offset that in your business by offering the best service possible and that in itself is worth everything.
