Opening a web design studio or a web templates site?

What do you think would be easier to sell web design… by opening a web design studio (if a client comes start the design from zero) or by creating a templates site where if the clients like any design they can just download it at a price?
As a web marketer / web designer myself, I’d recommend just doing it from scratch and using that as your portfolio to show other people.
When you have a portfolio and allow others to look at it, then people can generally give you a better idea as to what they want.
Most people will want their own design anyways, so designing a bunch of templates will end up wasting your time anyways…
Plus you can charge more and take more time to do it, when people know you’re working on their own custom design.

But from my point of view I think it will be easier to open a web design studion (this is my dream).Now I have a site were I posted all my work as a freelancer http://www.designsflash.com .In my case I work alone.If you have a team I think that creating a templates site is better 
! Hope you start one of those project and make a lot of money
