Questions about web page design jobs from home?

I am currently going to school for Web Page Design and my husband (who is a Vocational Rehab Counselor for the State of Iowa) found a web page design position working from home a few months back. That position is no longer open but I was wandering if anyone knows of any web page design companies that offer employment working from home?

It can be tough to get started in web design, as it is very competitive. In order to get paid work, you will need a portfolio of existing work, just as you would for a graphic design job of any kind. Your student work would be included in this, but you will need more. One way to build your portfolio is through volunteer work for example, designing a web site for a community organization in your town.

Be wary of any work-at-home scheme that seems to good to be true!

Once you are somewhat established, you can post a portfolio to online freelance services, such as ELance.com, which can be a help in finding clients.

    Good luck.

He should have abolutely jumped on it. Web design is a perfect field for telecommuting.
