Retraining at 30yo+, can it be done?

I’m 30 in December and really want to retrain in something.
My experiences lie in the graphics industry however, there’s not many jobs compaired to the amount of people doing graphic design and the likes and well, it’s not well paid.

What’s other peoples experiences of retraining at 30+ and what’s a great career to go for? I was thinking of electrician but not sure how hard that’s be, and if the training can be done part-time, seeing as company’s can get so many 16yo lads to train and pay them nothing as it’s an apprentiship

I think sometime last year, there was a newsstory about a 90-year-old man who ran a marathon, he looked all of maybe 60 but his age was verified and he was 90+ AND he finished the race….i know you are not speaking of physical re-training but of career training and the answer is yes! Turning 30 is not the end of your life but a new chapter. go full steam and make sure you update us all on how much happier you are :-)

Do you know the majority of people in evening college classes are 30+? If you want to do it, you can. It will be hard work and will require sacrifices, but its all up to how bad you want it.

If you don’t,you’ll be kicking yourself when you’re 40.
