I am currently doing research for an entrepreneurship class with intentions on starting an art supply store. I was thinking of creating a store with intentions of supplying students, design firms, and current artists with specific supplies that may be tough to find in other general art stores. I would love to include some other ideas I have for this (which are plentiful) but also have feedback from other artists and designers and their thoughts. I am an architecture student, but am taking business classes, and I know how it is difficult to get the supplies needed. What are your thoughts? Specific supplies, how much you spend on supplies, what are you looking for that is hard to find, the hours of the stores, and how is the atmosphere in the stores you typically enter?

I would love some feedback from the consumers.

This is a video survey of UMSL students talking about the differences between fine art and graphic design. The project resulted in the creation of study fine design, a movement that hopes to blur the line between fine art and graphic design, break boundaries, and start a new art revolution! I’m looking for a Graphic Design School that doesn’t require fine art courses, any suggestions?

I’ve already taken some Graphic Design classes and some Fine Art classes. I hated the Fine Art classes and I want to avoid them as I continue my education. My goal is a Bachelor’s Degree. I’ll also consider similar fields like “Multimedia Design” or “New Media.” Somewhere warm would be nice too, but not required.
