Im setting up a fictitious Business name and I am going to be sending (say) web design jobs to this DBA from my job. I will be outsourcing those to other people that will do it cheaper so that I make a profit. I am setting up a consulting Business per say. Is this legal in California.

I am a 28 year old music major grad (2 yr. degree) and this degree is utterly useless in reality. i have studied graphic design and gotten into film and video production in the past. i have an extremely vivid imagination and love doing videos, design, ect. anything computer involved. but it seems everytime i find something that i could practically do for a living and could stand i hear either “that job market is over saturated” or “it is not stable enough” even if i see that it is pretty stable. and end up hearing i should do healthcare or electrician or plumbing (which i have no interest in) i want to find direction and use my talents instead of following a career thats only upside is job security and not get to truly utilize my talents. is it that bad of an economy that it is impractical to be able to do any of these and make a decent living (not to get rich) i want to definitely work with computers and create if i can im very disheartened at the options before me any suggestions?

Can i do any graphic designing jobs even tho im not done with my schooling yet?

im working on getting my certificate in graphic design.. i already have experience with indesign, illustrator, photoshop and also with the offset press.. could i be able to do some freelancing even tho im not done with getting the certificate and yes how could i go about starting thanks. I am offered a graphic design position doing a specific type of product but they said that I wouldn’t be able to do freelance jobs on my own time. If they make me sign a contract stating this, they can really do this? And if they don’t make me sign a contract stating this, would I be in the clear to do what I want?
