1) A computer which have 256 MB RAM but its speed is 5.0 Ghz

2) A computer which have 512 MB RAM but its speed is 3.06 Ghz

Which one of this two option would you choose and why? What is the determining fact for to run scientific programs for many hours properly.

Are there any other school like it? Perhaps in the NY area, or upper eastcoast? Is there a site where I can find these school listed? I’m lost.
Let me clarify, are there any schools that help you get a portfolio together, for people who have not graduated from art schools. I am already taking continuing education classes to try and build a portfolio. Which I love, but will not help towards a degree (which my parents do not understand- taking classes but not earning a degree). I am not trying to cut corners, but asking if there are schools that help people not in the field, get into it.

What programs, languages, and concepts make up the primary areas of focus these days in web design? What are the most important aspects to understand?

My understanding is that these are very important:
Flash
Dreamweaver/Frontpage
ColdFusion or .NET (database connectivity)
Graphic Design Techniques
HTML, XML, PHP

I wondered how those of you that are actually working in the field would change my list?

Is there a particular order of concepts that would help me learn it best (a curriculum, if you will)?

I’d appreciate all the help I can get in understanding what direction to go in. There’s so much to learn, and I really don’t know where to start.

God damnit I am a real web designer, I never mentioned anything about using HTML. Yes HTML is still the main coding for website. And by the way I know HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, MySQL, C++, and Objective C. Oh and By the way, I make iPhone apps too, and I have been for over a year.
By the way, for the fucking retard. I’m not the designed a few web pages. I’m the kinda guy who spends from 10pm to 4am every day just so I can buy groceries for my family. My mom is sick as hell, and my Girlfriend is in the hospital with a brain tumor. My brother is in afghanistan, and my little sister is only 8.
