I really want to get into graphic design, where do I start?

I’m a terrible artist, and I’m equally as bad with computers. However, I’m intrigued by the prospect of graphic design. Should I start off with learning art without computers, and then moving to art with computers? Is there a computer program that is common for graphic designers? Where do I start?

What is a really good business card making program?

I am looking for a software to make business cards with. It needs to be easy to use and make very professional looking business cards. It would also be nice if it had lots of templates and pictures to use.

Is a graphic design degree really necessary?

How important is the actual degree to retaining employment in the graphic design market? Won’t simple talent and skills suffice?
