Okay well my educational/career goals is to eventually start my own website design/development firm but obviously that’s down the road once i complete my degrees and get all the needed experience. For now I have my goals set towards completing general ed classes such as English and math as well as obtaining an Associates in Web Development. After I plan to transfer to a 4 year university and get a bachelors in Information Systems.

I hope to become a freelance developer/designer to gain some experience on my own whether i get a formal job or not. The problem with this is that I have no artistic side! I am very technical and catch on to my programming/development classes very quick but have no eye/coordination for design. It would only take an additional 7 classes in graphic design to obtain my Associates in Graphic Design as well. From your experience do you have any advice on what I should do? Is this a good idea? Would it assist me in becoming a well rounded website developer/designer?

Should I take Yearbook, which would help in like organization and presentation, or should I take Psychology, which would help determine how to appeal to a certain audience? Or do you suggest taking something else?
I’m also dropping a science class because I don’t think it’s needed?
I’m planning to apply to an art school, so I know I need to make an art portfolio. But I’m not sure how that really works either..
I’m a bit lost right now. Any guidance or advice at all would be greatly appreciated!
