Bravenet is more for kids/hobbyist then the needs of professional web designers at this time maybe in the future they will have a professional section.

We need complete design control over content including bgcolor, size etc. also looking for a low cost RSS package we can put in our website.

This site supports street children so cost is a factor less money we spend the more money goes to help the street children. but we do not need or want ad supported products.

Everything has to be ad free so we can put our ads in. all profit goes to feed and house these street children

What I do is I design user interfaces by that and add php codes in it to make the site as I need. I take the coding to a text editor like NotePad ++ and do further development. I’m new to web development, Someone has told me that if you create web sites using such web builders, you can not obtain w3c recommendation to your site.

I need to know is it true. should I give up WYSIWYG web development tools to become a better web developer. ???

I would so much rather manage my own web site and have complete designing & maintenance control.

I am a pretty good ametuer graphic design person. I want to find something that I can I can totally design my own web pages instead of using the generic designs that have very little design flexibility.

And I want to be able to upload my own logo and place it strategically myself instead of in the one spot that some web building tools allow. I want more flexibility than those building sites allow.

BUT … I am also on a VERY limited budget.
