What are the best graphic design softwares?

I am very interested in graphic design. I understand the mixture of colors, images, and prints. I have started to take some basic graphic design courses, what are the best design programs out there?
Photoshop is by far the best
Adobe Photoshop and Imagemaker are among the top.
Try using Gimp 2.0! It’s like Photoshop only free. Also u can try downloading a free trial of Photoshop.
The Adobe Suite, includes Photoshop, indesign & Illustrator. Also check out Quark Xpress as it’s still mainly used for printing purposes.
Adobe CS3 Master Collection probably.
There is also 3d Studio Max and Maya for modeling.
