What happens when you graduate in graphic design studies ?

What are the responsibilities of a graphic designer ?

Computerized graphic design courses allow you to combine advanced technology with creativity in order to transmit ideas and visuals to consumers. The graphic designer will efectively translate the businesses ideas into a specified and well thourght design.Graphic designers have a great deal of influence on the daily life of millions of people all over the world.

Every time we read a magazine, see an advertisment or view a photo, we will know they were designed by a graphic designer. The same goes for a web site we visit, billboard we see, packaging we hold and business card we have. The courses here online offer students an array of useful transferrable practical skills which the student will acquire asa well as theories so when you graduate you can pick and choose work in any of the graphic design fields. There are many variaties of graphic jobs on completion of our programmes: design and print, magazines, newspapers, web site design, advertising, branding, interface design etc.

Upon completion or graduation of a computer design course or graphic design programme, the students can choose if they want to be an in-house graphic designer or a freelance designer. An in-house or employed designer works in the company or studio that hired him while a freelance will be paid individually by his clients for a specific service he delivered. It is highly profitable to maintain a freelance graphic design business because the level of design is very high and the clients tend to change their design often.

The graphic designer’s portfolio is his front window and is crucial for a good presentation for potential clients. By the end of the graphic design course, the student should have a serious, well thought portfolio, although it is recommended to try and design for real clients during our programmes in order to gain some experience.
The portfolio should include any branding workslike logos, catalogues, pamphlets, perspective drawings, light illustrations etc.
