However, it is a plus to live in the city, where, even if you work at home, you can easily arrange meetings with your clients. Or, if you want to work at a firm, commuting to work is more convinient. Graphic design jobs are also more available too in cities that have a big art culture, like austin, la, san fransisco, or seattle. Some if not most work from home and then there are firms that hire. As far as what part of the country refer to my first statement, there is no "hot spot" or "trendy" place to find a web job.
