You need to go to a Four-Year University and get a Computer Programming Degree and go from there. If you just want something that says you can work on video games try Devry.

There are reputable schools. Some that I have come across are Full-Sail, DigiPen, Art Institutes, and Savannah College.

Last time I have searched they have a 4 year degree available. You don’t necessarily have to be a computer programmer to work in the video gaming industry. There are other options like Interface Designer, Art Designer, Animation Artists, Background Artists, and so forth.

I strongly suggest you attend special industry trade shows such as E3 or Siggraph. Many schools, colleges and institutes will have information boothes there and you can speak with somebody regarding their respective facility.
